Terms of Use
Please read these terms carefully before using our services — they are written to be read, not to hide.
01 Definitions
TL;DR: Who is who in this document — short and unambiguous.
In these Terms, "Hostrena", "we" and "us" refer to the operator of the Hostrena platform and its services. "Client", "you" and "your" refer to the natural or legal person holding the account. "Services" means every product we provision for you — hosting plans, virtual and dedicated servers, AI compute, domain registrations, email services and the panels that manage them.
"Account" means your client profile, its users and contacts. "Content" means all data stored on, served from, or transmitted through your Services. "SLA" means the Service Level Agreement described in section 4 of this document.
02 Acceptance of Terms
TL;DR: Creating an account or using any service means you accept these terms. Material changes are emailed 30 days ahead.
By creating an account, placing an order, or using any Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms, that you are at least 18 years old, and that the information you register is accurate and kept up to date.
We may revise these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes are announced by email to every active account at least 30 days before they take effect; the version number and date at the top of this page always identify the current revision. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
03 Account Responsibilities
TL;DR: Your credentials, your contacts, your responsibility. Enable 2FA and keep your email reachable.
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for every action performed through your account, including actions by contacts you authorize. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication, which the panel supports natively.
- Keep the account email address valid — operational notices, invoices and security alerts are delivered there.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Contacts you create inherit only the permissions you grant them; you remain accountable for their actions.
- Accounts may not be created to evade a previous suspension or termination.
04 Service Use
TL;DR: 99.99% uptime SLA with defined credits — 10% of the monthly fee per 1% of shortfall, claimed within 7 days.
Services are provided for lawful purposes within the resource allocations of the plan you purchase. We guarantee a contractual 99.99% monthly uptime for VPS, VDS and AI compute services. If measured availability falls below the guarantee, you are entitled to a service credit of 10% of that month's fee for each 1% of shortfall, requested by opening a support ticket within 7 days of the incident.
Scheduled maintenance announced in advance, outages caused by your own configuration, and events beyond reasonable control (force majeure) are excluded from the SLA calculation. Backups are provided as tooling — you are expected to maintain independent copies of critical data, and section 9 describes the limits of our liability for data loss.
05 Payment & Billing
TL;DR: Prepaid cycles, cancel anytime, 30-day money-back on new hosting plans, domains are final.
Services are billed prepaid per cycle — monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual — with no setup fees. Invoices are issued before each renewal; unpaid services are suspended after the grace period shown on the invoice and may be terminated thereafter, with data handled per section 8.
- Cancellation: self-service at any time; service runs to the end of the paid period, no early-termination fee.
- Money-back guarantee: 30 days on the first term of new hosting plans.
- Refund form: original payment method where the gateway allows it, otherwise account credit.
- Domains: registrations, renewals and transfers are final once submitted to the registry — no refunds.
- SLA credits: issued as account credit and applied to future invoices automatically.
- Taxes: prices exclude applicable taxes (e.g. VAT), itemized on every invoice.
06 Prohibited Activities
TL;DR: No attacks, no spam, no malware, no illegal content — these end accounts immediately.
The following are strictly prohibited on every Service, without exception:
- Illegal content of any kind, and any child sexual abuse material — reported to authorities without notice.
- Distributing malware, exploitation tools, phishing pages or fraud infrastructure.
- Launching or facilitating DDoS attacks, port scanning, or unauthorized penetration attempts against third parties.
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam), using purchased or harvested mailing lists.
- Unlicensed distribution of copyrighted material.
- Cryptocurrency mining on shared-resource plans, or any workload designed to exhaust shared capacity.
- Reselling Services in violation of the plan's intended use (the dedicated reseller line exists for that purpose).
07 Content Policy
TL;DR: We host infrastructure; you publish content. You own it, you answer for it.
Hostrena provides infrastructure and does not monitor, edit or pre-approve Content. You retain full ownership of your Content and bear full legal responsibility for it — for what your sites serve, what your servers send, and the rights to everything you store.
Abuse reports concerning your Services are forwarded to you for action. Where a violation of law or of these Terms is verified, the enforcement path of section 8 applies. We disclose Content to third parties only where a legally binding order requires it.
08 Termination & Suspension
TL;DR: Suspension is temporary and reversible; termination is final. Notice comes first except in immediate-harm cases.
Enforcement scales with severity: a written warning with time to correct for minor violations; temporary suspension — service stopped, data preserved — for unpaid invoices or fixable violations; and termination for severe or repeated violations, with data deleted after a short retention window.
Notice precedes action in normal cases. Immediate suspension without prior notice is reserved for active outbound attacks, malware distribution, mass spam and clearly illegal content — situations that endanger other clients and the network. Voluntary termination is available at any time through cancellation; section 5 governs any refund.
09 Limitation of Liability
TL;DR: Our liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months; SLA credits are the remedy for downtime.
Services are provided "as is" within the commitments these Terms define. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hostrena is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost data where independent backups were not maintained, or business interruption.
For availability shortfalls, the SLA credits of section 4 are the exclusive remedy. In all other cases, our aggregate liability is capped at the amounts you paid for the affected Services during the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10 Governing Law & Disputes
TL;DR: Saudi law governs; talk to us first, arbitration in Saudi Arabia if we cannot agree.
These Terms and every service agreement under them are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Electronic Transactions Law. Disputes are addressed first through direct, good-faith negotiation with our support and legal teams.
Where negotiation does not resolve a dispute within a reasonable period, the parties agree to commercial arbitration seated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the final resolution mechanism. The language of arbitration may be Arabic or English by agreement of the parties.
Questions about the terms
What are the key things to know in Hostrena's Terms of Service?
The essentials: billing is prepaid per cycle and cancellable at any time, the 99.99% uptime SLA is contractual with defined service credits, you carry full legal responsibility for content on your services, resources must be used for lawful purposes, and spam, attacks and illegal content lead to suspension or termination.
Can I cancel my Hostrena subscription at any time?
Yes — cancellation is self-service from the client panel with no early-termination fees. Your service keeps running until the end of the period you already paid for, and no further renewal invoices are generated. Annual subscriptions can also be cancelled mid-term, with any refund handled under the refund policy.
What is Hostrena's refund policy under these terms?
New hosting plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee. Outside that window, monthly fees for the current period are non-refundable, while annual plans may receive pro-rated credit case by case. Domain registrations are final — the registry fee cannot be recalled.
What content is prohibited on Hostrena servers?
Strictly prohibited: illegal content of any kind, child sexual abuse material, malware and exploitation tools, mass unsolicited mail (spam), DDoS or scanning infrastructure aimed at third parties, unlicensed copyrighted material distribution, and phishing or fraud operations. The full list lives in the Prohibited Activities section.
What happens if I violate the Terms of Service?
Responses scale with severity. Minor violations get a written warning with time to correct. Continued or moderate violations lead to temporary suspension while the issue is fixed. Severe violations — active attacks, spam campaigns, illegal content — trigger immediate termination without refund, and where law requires, reporting to authorities.
Is Hostrena responsible if I lose data on my server?
Hostrena provides backup tooling and platform-level redundancy, but the terms are explicit: backups are a shared responsibility, and you should keep independent copies of critical data. If loss is caused by a Hostrena infrastructure failure, SLA compensation applies; loss caused by actions inside your account is your responsibility.
What SLA guarantees are written into the terms?
A contractual 99.99% monthly uptime guarantee for VPS, VDS and AI servers. If measured uptime falls below it, you receive a service credit of 10% of that month's fee for each 1% of shortfall, claimable by opening a ticket within 7 days of the incident. Scheduled, announced maintenance windows are excluded from the calculation.
Can I transfer my account or servers to someone else?
Yes, with verification. Full account transfers (including billing history) require a formal request and identity confirmation from both parties. Moving a server between your own accounts is self-service; moving one to a different person's account is reviewed manually to prevent fraud and ownership disputes.
Can my account be suspended without prior notice?
In most cases you receive notice and time to respond. The exceptions are immediate-harm situations: an active outbound attack, malware distribution, mass spam, or clearly illegal content. These endanger other clients and the network, so the service is suspended first and the conversation happens immediately after.
Which law governs my agreement with Hostrena?
The service agreement is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Electronic Transactions Law. Disputes are addressed first through direct, good-faith negotiation with the support and legal teams; if that fails, commercial arbitration in Saudi Arabia is the agreed resolution mechanism.
Can I send bulk marketing email from Hostrena services?
Only with real consent. Marketing mail is allowed when recipients explicitly opted in, every message carries a working unsubscribe link, and sending complies with applicable law. Purchased lists, harvested addresses and consent-free blasts are treated as spam — mail service is suspended immediately when they are detected.
Am I responsible for what is published on my hosted site?
Yes, entirely. Hostrena provides infrastructure; you remain the legal publisher of everything your site serves and everything your server sends. Abuse reports against your services are forwarded to you for action, and verified violations of law or these terms are handled under the enforcement process described above.
How will I know if these terms change?
Material changes are emailed to every active account at least 30 days before they take effect, and the version number plus last-updated date at the top of this page always reflect the current revision. Minor editorial clarifications may ship without individual notice, so a periodic re-read is recommended.
What is the difference between suspension and termination?
Suspension is temporary: the service stops responding but data is preserved, and service resumes once the cause — unpaid invoice, fixable violation — is resolved. Termination is permanent: the account closes and data is deleted after a short retention window. Suspension is the default path; termination is reserved for serious cases.
Do new clients get a money-back guarantee?
Yes — the first paid term of a new hosting plan is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. Domains, as registry-final products, are the exception and are excluded from refunds across the industry.
