Start again on a clean system, in minutes.
You pick the system you want, confirm the machine, and it comes back rebuilt with a fresh root password. No ticket required, and no waiting for someone to mount an image for you.

The systems we carry
This is our own list, and the console checks it against the platform your machine runs on before you choose. You see unavailable systems marked clearly rather than quietly dropped, because knowing remains better than wondering.
You also get older releases, including Ubuntu 20.04, Debian 11, AlmaLinux 8, Rocky Linux 8, Fedora 40 and Windows Server 2019.
What a rebuild does
You walk through three steps. The second one exists purely because the first one is irreversible.
- Pick the system
The rebuild screen lists every system we carry and tells you which ones this machine's platform actually supports.
- Type the hostname back
You retype the machine's hostname to confirm the action. You have no way to start a rebuild without naming the machine you mean to erase.
- It comes back new
The machine restarts onto the clean image, and the console shows it starting up. The screen displays a fresh root password exactly once at that moment.
What survives and what does not
Read this before you press the button, not after.
You write entirely over the machine's own disk. Take a snapshot first if any of this still matters to you.
- The operating system
- Everything installed on it
- Every file on the machine disk
- The old root password
Anything that lives beside the machine rather than directly on its disk remains untouched.
- The IP addresses
- Attached volumes
- The firewall ruleset
- Snapshots and backups
- The billing service
A rebuild erases the machine's disk and offers no undo. You take a snapshot first to give yourself a way back. This habit takes a few seconds and saves more afternoons than any other feature on this page.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a rebuild take?
Usually just a few minutes. The console shows the machine's state while the platform works, giving you something to watch instead of just hoping for the best.
Do I lose my IP address?
No. The addresses belong to the machine, not to the system running on it. Your DNS keeps pointing at the exact same place.
What happens to an attached volume?
It sits untouched. A rebuild replaces the machine's own disk, and a volume runs as separate storage. You mount it again after the machine comes back.
Can I see the root password again later?
No. The screen shows it once at the end of the rebuild and never stores it. You copy it then, and you set up an SSH key the moment you get inside.
Is Windows Server included in the price?
No. The Windows licence remains separate from the machine. You ask us before you order, and we tell you exactly what it costs on the plan you want.
