Data centers

Your server lives close to your visitors

A data center is the building your server runs in. The closer it is to the people who open your site, the sooner each page reaches them. You choose it when you order.

Every data center, where it really is

Each dot is a data center you can order a server in today. Point at a city in the list and its dot lights up.

  • Ashburn, VA ash
  • Hillsboro, OR hil
  • Helsinki hel1
  • Falkenstein fsn1
  • Nuremberg nbg1
  • Singapore sin

The list comes straight from our systems, so a new data center appears here the day it opens for orders.

By country

Pick a country, then a city

Every server we sell can run in any of these. The choice is part of the order, one click, no extra setup.

How to choose

Three questions settle it

You do not need to be a network engineer. Answer these in order and stop at the first one that decides.

  1. Where are most of your visitors?

Choose the data center nearest to them. A store for customers in the Gulf is better served from Europe than from America; a site for readers in California belongs on the US west coast.

  2. Must your data stay in one country or region?

Some businesses are required to keep customer data inside the European Union, or inside one country. If that is you, the rule decides the data center before distance does.

  3. Does the server talk to another service?

If it reads from a database, a payment provider or another server all day, put it near that service. Two machines that talk constantly should sit in the same data center.

Closest to you

The nearest data center, region by region

Find where your visitors are and read across. This is distance on the globe, measured from our own list of data centers, and it updates by itself when we open a new one.

Nearest is the right answer for most sites. If a rule about where data is kept applies to you, follow the rule first.

Same everywhere

What does not change with the city

The building changes. What you get inside it does not.

  • One control panel

Every server, in every data center, is managed from the same panel, in Arabic or English.

  • Full root access

The machine is yours to configure from the first boot, wherever it runs.

  • The same Linux images

Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and CentOS are offered in every data center.

  • Firewall, backups and snapshots

You switch them on from the panel the same way in every city.

  • IPv4 and IPv6

Each server gets its own IPv4 address and IPv6, and you set the reverse DNS yourself.

  • Billing in your currency

Monthly or yearly, shown in the currency you browse the site in.

Questions about data centers

Choosing a data center, answered simply

Short answers in plain words. If yours is not here, our engineers reply to every message.

What is a data center?

It is a secured building full of servers, with its own power, cooling and fast internet connections. Your cloud server is one of the machines running inside it.

Why does it matter which one I pick?

Distance. Every page your visitor opens travels from the data center to their screen and back. A shorter trip means the site feels quicker, so pick the data center nearest to most of your visitors.

When do I choose the data center?

While ordering. After you pick a server you are shown the list of data centers, you select one, and the server is created there.

Can I change the data center later?

Not for a running server: the data center stays with it. To move, take a snapshot, order a server in the new data center, restore the snapshot onto it and then remove the old one. Support can help you plan the move.

Does my data stay in the data center I picked?

Yes. The server and its disk run in the data center you chose, and we never move a server to another data center on our own.

Can I run servers in more than one data center?

Yes. Each server is ordered separately, so one account can hold a server in Europe, another in America and another in Asia.

My visitors are in the Middle East or North Africa. Which one is best?

Today the closest data centers to the Arab world are the European ones. The table above shows the nearest data center for each region and updates by itself when a closer one opens.

Will you open more data centers?

When a new data center opens for orders it appears on this page, on the map and in the order list the same day. We do not announce dates in advance.

Do all servers exist in all data centers?

Cloud VPS and Cloud VDS servers are ordered in the data centers listed here. The order page shows the data centers open for the server you picked.

Is the control panel different from one data center to another?

No. The panel, the Linux images, the firewall, backups and snapshots all work the same way everywhere.
