Choose the right server type

Three lines for three levels of need — from a growing project to dedicated production power to AI infrastructure.

VPS Servers

Flexible & fast

KVM virtual servers on pure NVMe — the everyday workhorse for apps, websites, containers and dev environments.

  • KVM virtualization — true isolation
  • NVMe Gen4 storage, 7,000 MB/s
  • Online in under 60 seconds

VDS Servers

Dedicated resources

CPU cores and RAM physically reserved for you alone — zero noisy neighbors, steady performance for production.

  • Dedicated CPU cores & RAM
  • No overcommit, no CPU steal
  • Full root access

AI Servers

GPU-powered

NVIDIA GPU servers for training, inference and fine-tuning — CUDA, PyTorch and TensorFlow ready on first boot.

  • NVIDIA A100 & H100 80GB
  • CUDA + cuDNN pre-installed
  • NVLink multi-GPU interconnect

Performance you don't compromise on

The same engineering under every server type — only the resource model changes.

NVMe only

7,000 MB/s reads — no HDD, no SATA SSD anywhere in the fleet.

40Gbps uplinks

Multi-provider BGP network with full IPv6 in every region.

10Tbps+ DDoS

Always-on automatic filtering — legitimate traffic never feels it.

KVM virtualization

Kernel-level isolation — near bare-metal performance.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between VPS and VDS?

VPS shares the physical server's resources with other clients while keeping full KVM isolation. VDS gives you CPU cores and RAM reserved exclusively for you — no actual sharing of the underlying resources, so performance never fluctuates.

Can I upgrade from VPS to VDS later?

Yes — upgrades are possible at any time from the control panel without data loss. Your disk, IPs and configuration move with you.

Do you support Windows on servers?

Currently Linux only: Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and CentOS Stream — or boot any custom ISO. Windows support is in development.

How many IP addresses are included with each server?

Every server ships with one dedicated IPv4 and a free /64 IPv6 subnet. Additional IPv4 addresses are available at a small monthly cost.

Can I change the data center region after creation?

The region is fixed after creation. You can snapshot your server, create a new one in a different region and restore — our support team will gladly assist with the move.

What payment methods are available?

We accept Visa, Mastercard and major currencies. Billing is monthly by default — no long-term contracts, cancel anytime.

Are there automatic backups?

Daily automatic backups can be enabled from the control panel with one click, and manual snapshots are available at any moment — ideal right before risky changes.

Where should I deploy my first server?

Pick the region geographically closest to your users for the lowest latency. The data centers page lists reference latency from major cities for every region.

Which server type fits my project best?

A practical rule: choose VPS for websites, apps, APIs, dev boxes and anything with variable load — the value per dollar is unbeatable. Choose VDS when sustained CPU defines your product: production databases, busy backends, game servers, trading systems. Choose AI servers only when a GPU is the work itself — training, fine-tuning, inference. Most teams run a mix, and all three live in the same panel and private network.

Are the servers managed or unmanaged?

Unmanaged by default: you hold root and own the OS, while we own the hardware, network, virtualization layer and DDoS shield — with 24/7 engineers covering everything in our half. Panel tooling narrows the gap considerably: one-click reinstalls, snapshots, firewall, monitoring and rescue mode handle most situations that traditionally needed an admin. Fully managed operations are available as a paid add-on.

What is included with every server by default?

Regardless of line: a dedicated IPv4 and a free /64 IPv6 block, NVMe Gen4 storage, the cloud firewall, always-on DDoS mitigation, VNC console, rescue mode, the bilingual panel, API access and the 99.99% SLA. Snapshots and scheduled backups are one toggle away. The differences between VPS, VDS and AI are purely about the resource model — never about stripping features.

Can I move an existing server from another provider?

Yes — the simplest path is booting your new Hostrena server, then syncing data with rsync over SSH; for whole-disk moves, rescue mode can write a raw image directly onto the volume. Our support engineers have run hundreds of these migrations and will help plan the cutover, including a DNS strategy that keeps downtime to the seconds your final sync takes.

Can I pay quarterly or annually instead of monthly?

Yes — four billing cycles exist on every plan: monthly, quarterly at about 5% off, semi-annual at about 11% off, and annual where you effectively get two months free. Cycles are prepaid, switchable at renewal, and the same prices apply in every region — choosing Singapore over Frankfurt never changes what you pay. There are no setup fees on any cycle.

Can I reinstall the operating system myself at any time?

Anytime, from the panel, in about a minute: pick any offered distribution or your own ISO, confirm, and the server rebuilds — no ticket, no human in the loop. Take a snapshot first and a failed experiment costs you nothing: restoring brings the previous system back in full. Reinstalls keep your IP addresses, so DNS never needs touching.

How many servers can I run under one account?

There is no fixed ceiling — accounts running dozens of servers are normal. Everything is manageable in bulk: group servers per project, share firewall rule sets, attach them to one private network and automate the lot over the API. New accounts carry a soft limit during their first days as standard anti-fraud practice; it lifts automatically as account history builds.

What happens if I stop paying — is my data deleted immediately?

No. At expiry the server is suspended, not destroyed: compute stops but the disk stays intact through a 14-day grace window while reminders go out. Renew inside that window and the server boots exactly as it was. Only after the grace period is storage securely erased — and a final warning precedes that too. Cancellations you request explicitly take effect at period end.
