النسبة المئوية من الوقت الذي يكون فيه الخادم أو الخدمة متاحاً ويعمل. الأرقام تتضاعف أثراً بسرعة: 99.9% تسمح بنحو 8.7 ساعات توقف سنوياً، و99.99% بنحو 52 دقيقة فقط، و99.999% بأقل من 6 دقائق. المزوّدون الجادون ينشرون صفحة حالة مباشرة ويدعمون رقم التشغيل باتفاقية SLA.

The percentage of time a server or service is reachable and working. The numbers compound fast: 99.9% allows ~8.7 hours of downtime a year, 99.99% only ~52 minutes, and 99.999% under 6 minutes. Serious providers publish a live status page and back their uptime figure with an SLA.
